They’re switching all bottles to PCR Plastic… which is plastic that’s made from recycled plastic. So we’re not using “virgin” plastic and we’re not putting any more plastic into the universe by making bottles!
From True Blue:
"We believe that something about being pet parents makes us just a little bit more aware of the environment and how precious the planet is. Here at TrueBlue we are constantly looking at how we can be more “green”… more friendly to the environment and more sustainable.
Our shampoos themselves have always been bio-degradable. So you can rinse them down the sink or bathtub and be confident they are safe for the planet.
And our bottles have always been made with recyclable plastic. Meaning they could be turned into something else. But they were made from “virgin” plastic. In other words plastic that was newly created to make the bottles.
But now we are switching all our bottles to PCR plastic. PCR stands for “post-consumer resin” which is a fancy way of saying plastic that’s made from recycled plastic. So we’re not putting any new plastic into the world."
